An ‘awesome’ Cavanagh Trail Run

Thanks to the athletics club committee for your loyal commitment in getting this event started

The trail run of the Cavanagh 10km or 21km run/walk started off with a welcoming fire and a cup of coffee at Wagendrift Dam on Sunday.
As we gathered, there were the few very serious athletes, then the few that were there to experience the beauty of God’s creation.

We were given the run-down of the route; follow the green markers for the 10km and the orange for the 21km. Marshals will be placed at certain points. Wow, what an awesome experience this was! Behaving as tourists, we didn’t let a snap shot go by. Starting off very enthusiastically, we soon realised that this was very different from our usual walks.

Nevertheless, we persevered and had an awesome morning out. Thanks to the athletics club committee for your loyal commitment in getting this event started.

We trust that this beautiful area will draw more people here next year. It is really worth coming out to.
