Ladysmith, ‘It is Time!’ to pray

As a logistical exercise alone, the gathering could easily be described as a miracle

Editor – As people kept on streaming to Wilde Als farm near Bloemfontein, the ‘It is Time’ prayer meeting organisers were forced to delay the start of proceedings.

It would eventually start with well over a million people in attendance, the biggest meeting of its kind in Africa.

There among the massive throng of worshippers, many of Ladysmith’s Christians were spotted.

Those who could not make it prayed for the safety of those who did.

As a logistical exercise alone, the gathering could easily be described as a miracle.

In what can only be labelled as a ‘sea of love’ for one’s fellow man, the ‘It is Time’ prayer meeting galvanised a nation.

As far as the eye could see were Christians of all denominations.

They listened not to words of division but words of unity.

A mass call on all who believe to stand together for our country.

It was a sight to see and an amazing thing to be part of!

For those who missed it, fear not, you can take solace in the word of the Lord – ‘wherever two or three are gathered in My name, I will be there’ is the Lord’s promise to us all.
