Make everyday a Mandela Day

Don't forget about the underprivileged, they face this plight every day of the year

Wouldn’t it be great if we did in fact make everyday a Mandela Day? I was inspired to see so many initiatives of goodwill undertaken last week.

But I certainly hope that these gestures will continue throughout the year. Very often we are so caught up with our own lives, that we forget about that needy family living next door, or the granny who needs to take medication daily.

What about donating our children’s old school clothes to children who need them?

Every year or for some parents, even every term, we buy new clothes and stationery for our children and the old stuff keeps piling up.
There are children who could really use these items. Don’t forget about the underprivileged, they face this plight every day of the year, not just on Mandela Day or during Mandela Month.
