A testimony to how your blood saves lives

Be a hero! Donate blood on September 2 from noon to 8pm at the Forderville Primary School Grounds, at the Cancer Relay

Dear blood donor/life-saver,

I was a healthy young man with the perfect career and loving family.  Every time the blood bank would come to our work place. I would make excuses as to why I could not donate blood on that day.

Until I was diagnosed with colon cancer and needed a operation. I lost so much of weight and was hospitalised many times and eventually, my blood levels dropped so low that I needed blood transfusion.

Sleeping on that hospital bed, I recollected the many times I did not donate. I waited impatiently for my transfusion, only to be told that there was a shortage of blood.

Eventually, I received my transfusion and was grateful to the person who donated the liquid love. Let’s go out there and donate your liquid love so as to save a precious live.
