Frustrating week without water for Forderville residents

"It is such a frustrating situation to be in and no one wants to step in and help,"

Once again the community of Forderville had to endure water interruptions since last week. We are at our wits end with this continuous problem.

Family life is disrupted, the school children are also affected and it is an overall inconvenient situation. When we contact Uthukela District Municipality for answers, there is always confusion or no answer at all.

For how long must we continue living like this? Why can’t a permanent long-term solution be found? Forderville has been experiencing water problems for many years, surely by now a solution should be reached?

Some households don’t have water for weeks on end, I wonder how they manage? It is such a frustrating situation to be in and no one wants to step in and help.

I recall a letter in the Estcourt News some weeks back, calling in our Mayor to intervene on behalf of the residents; it seems quite obvious that this has not happened. Where can we seek help and get answers?
