Editor – Please give me some space in your newspaper to show my anger. For a very long time, uThukela have been messing with our lives by cutting off our water. They don’t even give notice and don’t send water tankers to help us poor people.
I attended the meeting at Hotel Natalasia on Monday and was surprised at the insults the local newspaper got. They were accused of favouring uThukela and not worrying about the people.
I am the first one to accuse the idiots in uThukela of not doing their jobs, but I also want to know what the so-called community members have done to fight for the poor people.
All I hear on the phone is meetings and meetings and calling for this and that, but nothing is achieved.
The meetings have not improved our lives. We still suffer. My advice to the community is not to blame the newspaper, but to fight with the real culprits, which are at the uThukela offices.
It is easy to fly one’s own kite, but it is not right to put the blame on the media. They are at least informing everyone of what is going on. The enemy is uThukela, not the newspaper!
