Editor – Why do we write, protest, march, hand in a memorandum, or talk when the mayor of Alfred Duma Municipality and his manager don’t give a damn or don’t even bother about the upkeep of Ladysmith?
Or should I say this “shanty town”?
Leave the potholes, the Town Clock, the Christmas lights, the blocked-up storm-water drains, the overgrown grass and shrubs, the unfinished dug-up roads.
Mr Mayor, there is long grass growing at the entrance to your Town Hall/office, which you have failed to notice. How sad!
In simple English, Mr Mayor, under your poor leadership of Ladysmith, this town is doomed and headed for disaster! Shanty Town!
Yes and let’s not forget about uThukela Municipality and their incompetence in supplying basic needs like water.
For heaven’s sake, you took on the job, now work with it and stop with all your silly excuses. Many years now we have had floods in Ladysmith, but with all that, we (the community of Ladysmith) had clean drinking water every day with no excuses whatsoever. Nowadays, or let’s say every day, our taps are dry. I must say, it is so frustrating.
You people at this municipality are irritating us now. In simple Zulu, Niyasinyanyisa.
