
I would like to start my letter to our town’s management, by asking you all, who are you answerable to for the lack of delivery, total crumbling of this town and your utmost disrespect for this town’s ratepayers?

As time goes by, we have witnessed how disgustingly filthy this town is. This town also has a nauseating sewerage aroma. Not only from all the sewerage leaks but also from people just going about their toilet duties in public.

We have also witnessed municipal workers urinating in private property. The sewerage plant has also been sending aromatic whiffs our way. The poorly maintained gutters and pavements are lined with overgrown grass. Storm water drains are blocked.

Potholes prevail and our road surfaces have crumbled. Manholes are stolen and not replaced.
Litter and refuse lining this town. I have requested that something be done when a bag is torn and litter is left behind.

Street lights are not working. The municipal grave yard and its surroundings need cleaning. This no care attitude actually tells us all to ‘bugger off’.

Your actions show us you feel nothing for this town. May I ask what are your working hours and duties? I would like, again, to request that you publicise each and every member of the relevant people holding positions in department. For example… electrical, name of the contact person and a contact telephone number.

The public needs to have direct access because the emergency centre isn’t efficient and don’t take instructions very well.

Administrators, I am trusting you will see what we, the people have been dealing with and I hope we will see the changes of improvement.
It is far easier to allow things to crumble but we are hoping that everyone will put an effort into restoring this town.
