Stay young as long as you possibly can

Isn’t it crazy how this is already the last week of April 2018?

Isn’t it crazy how this is already the last week of April 2018?

Does anyone else feel like they have so much to do in such a small amount of time?

Like work, sleep, eat, function, as well as making time to be sociable and still have family time.

I’ve always thought that as you get older, it becomes easier…

Let’s just all laugh about that joke together, why don’t we.

Truth is, I really don’t think so.

The days get shorter and so do the evenings (which is the only time I can actually relax).

Summer, autumn, winter, spring all pass you by, and lately I do not even have the time to sort out my cupboard or keep up with my laundry that just piles up, week upon week. Sigh… I’m stressing myself out just thinking about it.

Oh, and in between all of that, I study part-time.

Okay, okay, so basically I am not writing this letter to complain, because we all have our various responsibilities in our everyday life, some smaller or bigger than others.

I’m just writing this letter to let you know that you are not alone, soldiers.

Francois Van Coke once said: “Dit raak beter as jy ouer raak, en jou kop voel minder deurmekaar”. No, Francois, I tend to disagree. It gets worse, summed up in your following lyric: “verantwoordelikheid mors al my tyd en geld”.

Here’s to another 40+ years dealing with adult life. Kids, don’t ever rush to grow up.
