Editor – I recently heard about an assault which was caused by apparent infidelity in a marriage.
A man “went to town” on another man whom he suspected of having an affair with his wife.
He will most likely now be in trouble with the law.
Be that as it may, my question to all is: What is wrong with people in this town?
They get married and then end up “fooling around” with other people, often with disastrous consequences for themselves and the children in the families involved. Yes, the children are always hurt by the stupidity of the adults, who are always quick to say “do as I say and not as I do!”
A great example they are setting for their kids, who are more than likely to emulate their behaviour and do the same thing when they are grown-ups.
And the vicious cycle continues…
Most of these marriages are religious in nature, with the spouses having taken vows in a church, temple, mosque or what have you. Vows to God obviously mean nothing to them! Ever heard the commandment “Thou shalt not commit adultery”?
Then they turn around and say the most stupid thing of all, ie “I’m only human”. Isn’t it strange that we always say that when we do something wrong. Ever heard a fireman say that when he’s saved a child from a burning building? Point made, I think.
I also think the biggest sin is stupidity and that most people commit it.
There are plenty of single people out there who would make excellent partners and they never get the chance because the idiots carry on cheating, saying sorry (only when caught), rationalising their despicable behaviour and just carrying on doing the same thing.
