Editor – The second half of the holy month of Ramadaan (month of mercy) is on its way out and many rich, not so rich and poor families alike cannot help but be filled with a sense of sadness.
On behalf of the poor and the needy (indigent), I take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to the members of the Muslim community who go out of their way to provide assistance to persons in need by way of mass iftaar, food parcels, vouchers and cash (zakah).
Your acts of mercy ensure that our fasting is made easier and joyful for us.
We thank you all in whatever way you have helped us thus far, big or small.
Our Eemaan has been reinforced and strengthened in that, once again, we will complete a command of Allah (SWT) with little to no hardship.
We extend our heartfelt thanks also to the Ladysmith Dawah Centre Trust, the LMMT and Al-Islamia Trust, who have done a sterling job in our community.
We also thank all their sponsors for helping the poor and needy in this month of revelation / mercy.
May Allah (SWT) continue to hear all our duas (prayers). Let us also make dua (pray) for our brothers and sisters globally who are suffering and in distress. May Allah (SWT) ease their pain and suffering. Insha-Allah, Ameen.
