[LETTER] Amajuba Marathon board thanks supporters

'The successful hosting of the 2019 Amajuba Marathon leaves an indelible mark and memories for the athletics sport communities.'

Madam – The Amajuba Marathon board extends its words of gratitude.

The Marathon organisers extends its gratitude to all and sundry for their immense and unconditional contribution and support during the organising phase, and the day of the event.

Special thanks to the following:

1. Stucky Motors Newcastle, for the design of an online registration website.
2. Thirsti Newcastle, for the provision of purified water for the race.
3. Value City Newcastle, for the design and provision of logistics materials.
4. DSR Amajuba, for its motivation and support from the initiation of the project, to the physical implementation and material provision of medals and trophies.
5. The referees, especially the Xulu family, Brian Jearney-Swan and the team, for their marvellous support throughout the planning phase, to the race day.
6. The volunteers from all over the district for sacrificing their time and energy to offer a helping hand during and after the race.
7. Amajuba District Municipality for providing and making available the Old Monte Vista Casino facilities, a conducive platform for athlete development and competition hosting.

The successful hosting of the 2019 Amajuba Marathon event leaves an indelible mark and memories for the athletics sport communities. The 2020 event will be a 4-in-1 with a 56km ultra marathon race.
