This wonderful man

Ivy Smith and her family have been friends with Breen Ally Buckus for many years and Ms Smit wrote this poem as a tribute to him

What words can we use the story to tell
Of this wonderful man we knew so well
Patient and loving with a heart filled with care
A generous nature, which these days is so rare.

Quietly spoken, humble, with a sense of humour too
Even when in pain, his gentle smile shone through
To those he loved, he was always caring and kind
A more devoted family man would be hard to find.

READ: JUST IN: Breen Ally Buckus passes on

Whatever he said came straight from the heart
As with everyone, his incredible wisdom he did impart
His great knowledge was of immeasurable worth
He truly deserved his place on this earth.

He was always ready, a helping hand to lend
What a privilege it was to call him friend
To some, he was Ally Buckus, but to us he was Breen
The most generous friend there has ever been.

His great faith was an example to me and you
For he always believed in what he knew was true
A crown of victory at the narrow road’s end
Where in God’s grace he now eternity will spend.
