In the rush to pack the car, most items ended up where they should have been, but for my cell-phone, which was left on the roof of the car. It remained there for about 100 metres and slid off at the first left turn of our trip.
We arrived in Pietermaritzburg before we realised it was not with us, so we phoned the number, hoping it would start ringing under the seat. It was far better than that, because our neighbour down the road Kirsten Lite answered it.
He was the person who saw it first on the street outside his house. Many thanks Kirsten! How refreshing to find such honesty and kindness.
