Sensei Willemse said the main reason he held the seminar was to give his pupils an overview of grappling in order to fully understand their katas.

“When you get to kata, you find certain techniques which are applied to grappling. Through the introduction to Tegumi, the pupils can learn to be more comfortable in all aspects of karate,” concluded Sensei Willemse.

Another seminar will be held on August 2. All interested parties can contact Sensei Willemse on 079 585 1181.
