Highlanders tackle opposition
In what proved to be a tough game and entertaining game, Highlanders' third team drew 21 all with Volksrust.
Arbor Park Sports Grounds were the place to be on Saturday, when Boschpick Highlanders took on Volksrust and Vryheid teams.
In what proved to be a tough game and entertaining game, Highlanders’ third team drew 21 all with Volksrust.
The Highlander second team then took on Vryheid’s second team.
From the onset, Highlanders dominated the game and ensured they would not be defeated on home ground and walked off with a staggering victory of 41 – 21 over Vryheid.
While the second and third teams from Boschpick Highlanders walked away victorious, the first team was not as fortunate.
Boschpicks Highlanders’ first team lost 25 – 16 to Vryheid’s first team.
According to the team’s coach, André Swanepoel, the Highlanders had a good game despite the loss. He said it was the first loss of the season and he was sure they would bounce back and claim victory in the next game.
