Vryheid Cricket Club – Gladiators miss the mark in last game
In batting, the Gladiators succumbed to good bowling from Mr X and were dismissed for a paltry 85 in the 23rd over with only Juan Swanepoel (23) making any impact on the scorecard.
GLADIATORS took on Mr X in the last game for the year on Sunday, a Kingsmead Mynahs 30 over match at Cecil Emmett Park.
Mr X won the toss and batted first. In their allotted overs they managed to score a good 204/3. Miguel Machado (95 not out) and Jaco Grobbelaar (45) top scored. Gladiators’ best bowlers were Zia Rehman (5-0-21-1) and Joshua Stride (5-0-26-1).
