SPORTS: Swimmers reflect on a smooth season
The final events of the season were the South African Level 2 and 3 Galas.
As a whole, Newcastle Swimming Club has enjoyed a brilliant season.
Management of the club described the series of galas and competitions as a good season all round, one which had finished on a truly high note.

The final events of the season were the South African Level 2 and 3 Galas.
The following swimmers achieved good results at these competitions, which were held in Sasolburg earlier this month:
Level 3
Paula van Zyl advanced to six finals, and earned two gold, three silver and one bronze medal.
She will also compete at the SA Nationals from April 23 to 28.
Melisca Everson made eight finals and earned eight gold medal.
Abigail Peters swam in four finals, earning herself one silver and one bronze medal.
Level 2
Jared Scheepers advanced to four finals, earning one silver and two bronze medals.
Kelsey Kemp swam in four final events.
Handre du Preez competed in four finals, and earned two bronze medals.
Shravan Goli advanced to three finals.
Coach, Tharina Peters congratulated these swimmers on their achievements, and wished them well for the new season, which begins around August this year.
