WATCH: Soccer coach aims to uplift youth through sport

"I have always believed I would go far with soccer."

The Newcastle Advertiser caught up with soccer coach at St Dominics Newcastle, Mlungisi Zulu, to share his experiences and background about his journey through soccer. Zulu said his strong love for soccer was sparked at the tender age of six, in the dusty streets of Osizweni, where he would play with his friends.

“I have always believed I would go far with soccer and so growing up, I channeled my energies in being the best at it. I am proud to say I have even started my own sport academy, BasicAlly Academy, that aims to encourage youngsters to better their skills, while also teaching them life skills, like discipline and the importance of hard work,” he said.
