Players battle the heat at NKZN tennis trials

Tennis players from northern KwaZulu-Natal face fierce heat while competing for trial places.

Dozens of tennis players endured intense heat during the NKZN tennis trials, which were hosted at the St Dominics Newcastle tennis courts on Saturday (February 7).

Despite the heat, players from Dundee, Lüneburg, Newcastle, Vryheid and Winterton showcased their resilience and commitment to the sport. The standard of play remained high throughout the day, with athletes focused on delivering strong performances.

The trials highlighted both the depth of regional talent and the determination of players to compete under demanding conditions.
