Tony Venton farewell this Saturday

All golfers should play on this special day when we say goodbye to a club stalwart of long standing

Last Saturday, January 11 a BBBS comp. was played with scores multiplied on the jackpot holes.
Winners with 56 points were Bruce Laatz and Paddy Geraty
55 points earned Philani Mabaso and Ajeesh Lalparsad second place whilst third place went to Moekie Ghasitha and Deejay Ramdhas with a score of 53 points.
Lional Laatz was closest to the pin on number three and two clubs were had by Dave Diedrick on number three, Arnold Fortman on number seven, Bruce Laatz on number 12 and Lional on number 16. All the two club money was kindly donated to club fundraising.
The jackpot was won by Bruce and Paddy.
Visitor Heydon Zunckel was welcomed. The comp on Wednesday, January 8 was a BBBS and the winners were Gordon Chotu and Viren Omardath with 47 points.
Second place went to Paddy and Lional with 47 points and third to Ajeesh and Gordon Smith with 45 points.
Bruce was closest to the pin on number three and sank his putt for the only two club of the day.
Ajeesh and Gordon won the jackpot with 12 points.
Visitors were welcomed.
The Friday nine hole ind stab comp was won by Deejay with a score of 20 points.
On Wednesday (today) will a BBBS comp and then on Saturday, January 18 will be Tony Venton’s farewell comp. which he is sponsoring.
The format will be a Four Ball Alliance with two scores to count except on the short holes where three scores will count.

The cost is greenfee plus R50 and includes supper for both player and spouse/partner.
All members are reminded that subs paid before the end of February will be subject to a 10 percent discount.
