Glencoe Angling Club held their awards function for the 2013/14 season on May 30 at Ethangeni Combined School, and the programme for the evening was directed by Vice-chairman LG Botha.
It was a memorable and historical event for the GAC, especially for one honorary angler, AD Hoffese, who was awarded with three impressive titles: League Champion, Champion of Champions as well as Doubles Knock-out Champion (with his partner, R Saib).
Other winners included Mr H Syed for the heaviest non-scaled fish, and Raees Kajee for the heaviest scaled fish. Members were then served with a delicious three course meal, which was prepared by Razak Ismail. Well done to all the awardees and also to all the members for participating in the last season. The club looks forward to the upcoming 2014/15 season, which kicks off on August 3, where they will be up against Docrat’s Angling Club at Sanford.
