George van Niekerk wins July mug

Well done to the prize winners and thank you to all players and to Lalparsad Attorneys Inc and Gerry's Motors for their continued sponsorship of the Mug

Last Saturday, July 5 the Monthly Mug combined with the Ind Stab competitions were played.
Visitors Messrs van Dyk, Gouws and Olivier were welcomed as well as Isaac Mvelase playing his first Mug.
Winner of the Mug with a nett score of 70 was George van Niekerk.
In second place with a 72 nett score was Gordon Cross with third place going to Lional Laatz with a nett 74.
In the Ind Stab comp, the winner was SP Olivier with 38 points on a three way count out.
Second and third places went to George and D van Dyk on the same score. Fourth place went to Gordon Cross with a score of 37.
Closest to the pin on number two after two shots was Lional Laatz and on number three off the tee Grenville Moore. There were no two clubs and the jackpot was shared between Tuppy Schriever and Lional. Well done to the prize winners and thank you to all players and to Lalparsad Attorneys Inc and Gerry’s Motors for their continued sponsorship of the Mug.
The Wednesday comp was won by Vaughan Ric Hansen and Willem Erasmus on 47 points and the Friday nine hole ind stab comp by Deejay Ramdhav with a score of 15 points. This Wednesday (today) and Saturday, July 12 will be BBBS comps.
Please diarise July 19 for Bobby Goodoon`s 80th B/day comp. and July 26 for the Zulu Shield comp. against Mooi River.
Bobby’s Day will be sponsored by Harry Koovarjee and Vino Haribhai. All details to be posted on the club notice board. Finally golfers are requested to put their surnames and initials on their cards before submission. Also handicaps greater than 18 may only take three strokes on their double stroke holes.
