Bowling ladies win their pairs section

Wonderful news from the girls: Charmaine van der Merwe and Shenaaz Singh won their section in the pairs! Unfortunately, they had to choose one of the top Port Natal teams to meet first in the play-offs and they came second.
Such a good result from two of our ‘newer’ bowlers – well done, girls. Lorraine Kirsten and Desre Maartens managed to come third in their section, and Barbara says they made some good friends.
Now it’s on to the Fours play and here, the girls should all stand a good chance – good luck to them. No news from the men, so we trust they are all okay and we wish them good luck in the Fours.
This weekend sees the sponsored Tabs-in on Sunday (July 20) at R50 entry fee, which includes a light lunch. So don’t cook at home, rather join in with everyone at the club and win some prizes.
The dates for the continuation of the club competitions are on the board, so do make your plans accordingly.
