Father pips son at time trials
In the junior section, Nathaniel Benjamin ran an excellent time.

In the 4km run, Simphiwe Ngidi ran a personal best in a time of 14m38s claiming the top position. Second was Lindani Sangweni 15m25s, third place went to Reggie Nkosi 18m50s (PB), fourth was Thulani Sibiya 24m20s followed by CJ Mthembu 36m02s.
In the junior section, Nathaniel Benjamin ran an excellent time of 18m01s in the 4km claiming first position. Second was Daniel Mostert 20m34s.
Lihle Makubu won the 4km ladies event in a time of 26m14s.
In the female junior 4km section, Rhode Mostert came in first in a time of 21m59s (PB), second was Caitlyn Mitchell 29m34s.
Alex Willis Smith ran first in the 2km even in a fast time of 11m26s.
Pinkie was first in the 2km walk in 19m45s. Joyce won the 3km walk in 27m49s.
In the 3km run, there was stiff competition between father and son. Unfortunately in the home stretch, the father, Naseem Cassim, ran a time of 17m06s beating his son Dean by 29s.
Time trials start in front of DJS, Excelsior Lane every Wednesday at 5:15pm and is free to the public. There is a 2km, 3km and 4km event; run or walk. See you there.
