Coaches receive important training

There are many programmes that Umtshezi LFA are busy with in football but they are seeking sponsors that can help the committee

Seven coaches from Weenen, Thembalihle, Cornfields, Mabhalonini and Wembezi completed their South African Football Association (SAFA) D- Licence course, which was held from November 2 to 6 in Ladysmith.

SAFA Uthukela Region invited coaches all Local Football Associations (LFAs) and 28 coaches attended the course.

Umtshezi LFA chairperson Emmanuel Ndlela thanks all coaches from Umtshezi, he also thanks the region for providing this opportunity to coaches, instructor coach Jeffy Nkosi from Newcastle and coach Gule.

SAFA Uthukela Region President Themba Phiri promised all coaches that next year a C-Licence course will be arranged, because the region has a target of training 150 coaches by 2018.

Last month there was a referees course and many referees received training and now those referees assist in SAB League Games, which started on November 1.

There are many programmes that Umtshezi LFA are busy with in football but they are seeking sponsors that can help the committee with development of junior leagues and women’s football.

If anyone can assist Umtshezi LFA, please call the Chairperson Emmanuel Ndlela on 082 710 4295.
