Crossfit athletes pound it out

Local athletes pushed their limits at the Body 5000 Crossfit Competition on Saturday.

The Vodacom Newcastle Winter Festival was the staging ground for this momentous event, and Proteas Women allrounder, Lizelle Lee was a guest entrant.

Course elements were diverse and challenging.

Participants engaged in events such as the tyre flip, the tyre pull, weight carries, the step box, sandbag carries, and the arm-over-arm pull.

One thing is for certain – Newcastle athletes are at the peak of their performance.
