A gloriously beautiful day was spent out in the open in Ashburton. Cars from vintage, classic and modern, all makes and models, colours and shapes were showcased at the Cars in the Park on Sunday, May 15.

In addition there were bicycles and motorbikes, an air show with a model plane and a racetrack with model cars racing against one another.

Entertainment was provided for all ages and there was fun for the entire family. Plenty food stalls were available to enjoy whatever you wish to eat.

The event also hosted a market of various stalls selling items ranging from leather handbags to delicious fudge. Stunning orchids were on display for sale and there was so much more to keep people busy for the entire day.

The day drew to a close with the Alfa Club hosted their prize giving during which Pieter Keyter was the winner for his car in “the modern of its age” category.
