Cross Country Golf Challenge at Country Club
There was a good turnout of 47 players for Saturday's Monthly Mug golf competition at Dundee Country Club.
There was a good turnout of 47 players for Saturday’s Monthly Mug golf competition at Dundee Country Club.
Walter Du Plessis played exceptionally well off his 8 handicap to shoot a 76 and win the A division mug on a net 68 with Mandla Mtethwa winning the B division on a net 70. The ladies B division was won by Ronel Purchase on a net 69 and Dolly Bradbury was the best in the ladies C division with a 73 net.
The best gross score on the day was recorded by Joe Khumalo with a 74. Only four players managed to record a 2 Club on the day and have a share of the prize money.
They were Mike Gardner, Kosie Pansegrouw, Billy Francis and Melusi Sithole.
Leon Wellman and Melusi Sithole both notched up enough points to each win the Jackpot prize. Back by popular demand is the 10 Hole I.P.S. Cross Country Golf Challenge this coming May 27, starting at 1:30pm. The competition is kindly sponsored by Debs Embroidery, so all the keen golfers are urged to come and take on this challenge.
