Piet soars on the wings of success

NEWCASTLE – Northern Natal Roller Pigeon Club secretary, Piet Bothma clinched two decisive victories during competitions in July.
First was the 20 Bird World Cup Fly, held on July 8 and 9.

During the course of this competition, he amassed 102 points, to finish well clear of Quintus Oosthuizen (39 points) and Lieb Swiegers (5).
The next competition was the 12 Bird Open, which took place on July 22 and 23.
Piet secured a narrow victory by just two points over Johan Adendorff, with Lieb and Quintus rounding off the top four.
