The Newcastle Social League (NSSL) produced its fair share of drama on Sunday.

Stella FC and Shining Stars were meant to start the day’s fixtures, but Shining Stars arrived at the grounds an hour late, thereby surrendering their points to Stella FC. However, Stella FC decided to play Shining Stars as a formality, even though the team knew they had the game in the bag.

Spartans faced Dynamos in an exceptionally tough game. Despite outstanding play, neither team was able to score and the game ended with a nil-all draw.

Although Al-Ahly has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in past matches, the team was defeated 3-2 by Sporting FC.

On Thursday, August 11, Spartans crushed Sporting FC with a score of 4-1, while Al-Ahly hammered Madrid FC 4-1.

Al-Ahly is currently leading the day league log, with Spartans FC and Madrid FC on hot on its heel. In the night league, Al-Ahly leads the pack, with Dynamos and Madrid FC in hot pursuit.

On Tuesday, August 9, Al-Ahly played Sporting FC and walked away as victors with a score of 4-1.

On Thursday, August 18, at 6pm, Al-Ahly will play Dynamos, and Sporting will take on Siyahlala.

On Sunday, August 21, at 1pm, Stella will face Dynamos, and Al-Ahly will compete against Siyahlala. At 3pm, Fairleigh Sparta will play Madrid, while Shining Stars will go against Sporting FC.
