Dundee bowlers take to the greens in Vryheid

This past Saturday, two trips teams from Dundee went through to Vryheid to take part in the Vryheid Pick ‘n Pay Sponsored Day, hosted by Vryheid Bowling Club.
It was a wonderful day which saw 28 teams, a total of 84 bowlers, taking to the greens to slog it out for the title as winners of the day. The Dundee teams did well with Sylvia and her team ending in ninth position with 19 points +6 and Rita and her team ending in second position with 28 points +44. Congratulations to Billy and his team from Newcastle on winning the day.
FedAuto Business League
Unfortunately, there was no play in the FedAuto Business League this past Thursday due to inclement weather. For now, the weather forecast for this Thursday is looking good so the club hopes to see some action on the greens. Just a reminder of the leaderboard after rounds 6 and 7: Langfontein 12 +33; Sarel Cilliers 12 +23; Harcourts 11 +15; No Name Brand 10 +18.
The club will NOT be selling food this Thursday so please, bring your basket, family and friends down to the club to enjoy a braai and fellowship after play.
The club wish its members, Nan, Greg, Des and Dougie great bowling as they are currently participating in the Inter Districts Competition, representing the district, KZN Country Bowls, at various venues around the country. It is a great honour for each of these players to have been chosen to represent the district and the club would like to wish each one of them well.
