Paki Lions crowned Saturday League Champions

Cricket matches during the week led up to the Paki Lions being crowned the Saturday League Champions.

There were some big scores and bigger victories as cricket action heated up.
Wednesday T20 – February 28 – Ace Eagles vs NDH Predators
Ace elected to bat first and made a huge 202 for 5. Brothers, Yusheer and Udien were in devastating form, making 72 and 65 respectively.
Predator’s best bowlers were Amith, taking 2/24 and Deresh who took 2/50. Predators took to the crease and could only manage 48 before being bowled all out. Labeeb was chief destroyer, taking 5 wickets.
Friday T20 – March 2 – Farmers vs Paki Lions
Farmers won the toss and batted first. They got off to a great start with an opening stand of 60, however, it was all undone by a great collapse. Farmers were bowled out for 96 with Chris making 42 not out and Cameron scoring 27.
Adeel claimed 4 for 11 and Saqib 2 for 16 for Paki Lions. In reply they made the score in over 17, only losing 4 wickets in the process. Asfaq made 29 not out and Ali made 19 not out. Tienie took 2 for 18 for Farmers.
Saturday 30 Overs – March 3 – Paki Lions vs Farmers at the Oval
Pakistan Lions won the toss and elected to bat. A great knock from Zeze with 54 and Adeel with 43 helped the Paki Lions amass 194 runs.
The star bowler for Farmers was Braam Cronje who took 5/21. The Farmers batsman was no match for the Lions attack and was all out for 52 runs. In winning this game Pakistan Lions became the Saturday League Champions.
