ANGLING: NNFWAA sizzle at semi-finals
At the weigh-in, Vinay Pooni of Chelmsford managed to reel in a beautiful carp of 4.2kg which aided in Chelmsfords’ narrow victory over Docrats.
The Northern Natal Fresh Water Angling Association semi-finals recently took place at Sanford Islands.
This saw Chelmsford come up against Docrats, while Itec Freespool took on the current knock-out champions Riverside of Dundee.
Chelmsford and Docrats were drawn to the D zone and anticipated good catches as this area is synonymous among anglers.

Riverside and Itec Freespool were drawn to C zone, where Itec Freespool claimed victory by 24 points to 20 against Riverside.
They will go up against Chelmsford in
the Final, that will take place at Richgate Park on March 18.
Vishu Pillay of Riverside won the prize for the Heaviest Non-scaled Fish, while Vinay Pooni’s Carp was the heaviest catch overall.
The executive of the NNFWAA wish both clubs the best of luck for the Finals.
