Golfers gear up for Battlefields Weekend
The Easter weekend is here, and the Annual Battlefields Golf Tournament takes place from Friday through to Sunday.
After two days of consistent rain and over 100mm drenching the golf course, the sun eventually came out on Saturday to see 25 golfers taking part in the Individual Bonus Bogey competition at Dundee Country Club.
An exceptionally good round of 64 net by Mandla Mthethwa saw him comfortably winning the competition on a score of +7.
Club Captain Barry Sandy finished second with a score of +2, while the President, Danie Von Molendorff, claimed the third prize on a score of +1. Only Mandla managed to record not one, but two 2 Clubs on the day, on holes 12 and 16 to earn himself a little extra cash.
The Easter weekend is here, and the Annual Battlefields Golf Tournament takes place from Friday through to Sunday.
The formats for the weekend are as follows; Friday, March 30: Better Ball Bonus Bogey; Saturday, March 3: Better Ball Stableford and Sunday’s format will be Combined Stableford.
Entry fee for the weekend is R450 per person for all three days, which must be paid by no later than Thursday, March 29 or R170 per person per day.
Players are required to complete the entry forms which are available from The Pro Shop upon making payment for the tournament.
