Adopt a boxer and help the next ‘king of the ring’
"We are in dire need of basic starter kits for the boxers and I kindly request the community adopts a boxer."
Aspiring boxers are pleading with residents for help with starter kits, which will help them pursue their sporting dreams.
Members of the Sibongile Boxing Club, managed by Pretty Tsotetsi, have appealed for sponsors to join in its Adopt-A-Boxer campaign, aimed at rearing future boxing champions.
“We are in dire need of basic starter kits for the boxers and I kindly request the community takes part in our campaign by adopting a boxer, and donating the following items to them: a pair of running shoes, a gum guard, hand wraps, a backpack, a towel, and a water bottle.”
The above-mentioned items can be given to a boxer of your choice.
Pretty has pledged to introduce the donor to the boxers who are are in need, after which the donor can choose who to assist, which eliminates boxers going out and directly asking for sponsorship. The donor will also be kept in the loop regarding their boxer’s victories and progress.
If you would like to adopt a boxer – and perhaps help unearth the next ‘Baby Jake’ Matlala, contact Pretty Tsotesti on 083 389 356.
