Female competitors ready to take the lead at special parkrun event

All are welcome and should meet at 6.45am at the Golf Club entrance on President Street

Cold weather kept most of the runners and walkers at home on Saturday.
This Sunday marks International Women’s Day and Vryheid parkrun has decided to dedicate Saturday’s event to the women of the world.
Every female member is encouraged to bring a friend.
All are welcome and should meet at 6.45am at the Golf Club entrance on President Street. On Sunday, Vryheid Athletic Club hosts the Willem Boshoff Marathon at the Natal Spa Resort, featuring distances of 42,2 kilometres, 21,1km, 10km and a 5km fun run.
The last three events are also open for walkers.
Entrance into any of these events will grant the runners free entry to the resort, and anyone accompanying the participant will have an entry fee of only R50.
Club members are urged to join the club at this event.
Entries can be made on Thursday night at the clubhouse at Pionier High School, or with Lorraine at Van der Nest Pharmacy on Utrecht Street. Visit Vryheid parkrun’s website for more detail.
