Anglers enjoy league outing

It was a great day out for all the members

Umtshezi Angling Club held its first league outing on October 30. Club members had a great day out, with some nice fish caught.

Points were awarded to members who caught fish on the day, as follows:

Rushil Gobinpersadh: one carp (2.1kg) – nine points; Deepak Sriram: two carp (0.295g and 0.295g) and one scaly (0.265g) – six points; Sanjay Dayanand: one scaly (0.440g) and one trout (0.325g) – five points; Lakshil Lakhan: one scaly (0.225g) and one carp (0.260g) – three points; Sanjeev Ramjaun: one scaly (0.500g) – three points; Kavish Munesar: one carp (0.345g) – two points; Avanash Lakhan: one scaly (0.165g) – one point.

Deepak Sriram receives his prize and certificate.

Members receive one point for fish landed and thereafter one point per 250g.

The executive committee would like to thank all the members who came and enjoyed the day at the club’s first league outing. The members are already looking forward to the next one.
