The annual Lucas Meyer Rugby Week once again proved to be a highlight on the primary school sporting calendar, as budding rugby players from across KwaZulu-Natal showcased their skills in an action-packed series of matches.
Three-Day tournament hosted at Lucas Meyer Primêre Skool
Hosted by Lucas Meyer Primêre Skool, the three-day tournament, held from March 26 to March 28, saw 10 schools compete in the U11 and U13 age groups, culminating in thrilling finals.
U13 competition: Nuwe Republiek School dominates
In the U13 competition, Nuwe Republiek School continued their dominance, topping the log for the fourth consecutive year. Egerton Primary School claimed second place, while hosts Lucas Meyer Primêre Skool rounded out the top three.
U11 competition: Pongola Academy claims title
Meanwhile, in the U11 age group, Pongola Academy proved too strong for their rivals, claiming the title. Egerton Primary School again finished on the podium in second place, with Nuwe Republiek School securing third.
