Beverley Pelser and Sheila Theron attempted, and succeeded, in their first “The Dolphin Mile Surf Swim” on Sunday, April 6. This is an open water swim in the sea off Durban, starting in front of the Marine Surf Lifesaving Club (Ushaka), swimming out and in a T-shaped course back to the start. The swim began at 7:30am, and they completed the mile in about 50mins. “No sharks attacks….hahaha,” said Beverly on Monday when safe and sound back on dry land in Vryheid. Well done, you two!
