Exciting Prep hockey festival

The standard of hockey was good for the start of the season and schools had a good opportunity to sort their teams out for their matches during second term

Treverton Prep held a Hockey Festival during the last weekend of the first term. Five boys’ and five girls’ teams participated in the event with the first matches being played on the Friday afternoon.
The tournament ended on the Saturday afternoon. Each team played four 30-minute games and as it was a festival, each school’s results were for their own record.
The standard of hockey was good for the start of the season and schools had a good opportunity to sort their teams out for their matches during second term.
They were also able to use the College’s floodlit astroturf in the evening, when a six-a-side tournament was played on the Friday.
Each team consisted of three boys and three girls and it was an excellent opportunity for schools to interact with each other. Perfect early autumn weather contributed to a wonderful festival atmosphere.
