This was Tristan’s first major race and he completed two loops; a distance of 70km, and earned a silver medal

Keen sportsman, Weston grade nine Tristan Dell exhibited his skill in Enduro participation when he recently won silver in the Mountain Madlalas Enduro.
This is no mean feat for someone Tristan’s age.
The event took place outside of the Free State town of Clarence and the route was a 35 km loop into the Maluti Mountains.
The criteria for the respective medal grading were a bronze medal for one completed loop, a silver medal for two completed loops and gold for those who completed three loops in the given time.
The race started at 10am and the cut off time was 4.30pm.
This was Tristan’s first major race and he completed two loops; a distance of 70km, and earned a silver medal.
It was only a year ago that he started riding in fun enduros.
Electronic Assemblies sponsored Tristan for the event.
In February this year, he swam Midmar Mile in the time of 36 minutes eight seconds and was awarded half colours at Weston.
