Ladysmith High School (LHS) took on St Dominic’s from Newcastle in a challenging cricket match on Saturday at the LHS cricket ground. The LHS first team cricket boys took the field and batted first, setting an enormous total of 334 runs for the loss of only two wickets.
Tyler Miller scored an unbeaten 172, with Ashiel Maharaj amassing 122.These two players set the platform for the LHS bowlers to take charge of the game, which they surely did. The bowlers turned the screws and bowled out St Dominic’s for a mere 114 runs.
The local boys had great fun on the day and enjoyed their convincing win.
