A walk for fun and education!

The learners arrived early in the morning in buses

On Friday morning, 2 March, the learners of Monument Primary school had a day full of learning and fun at Platrand.
The learners arrived early in the morning in buses. Excitement quickly filled the air as both learners and parents started their 5km walk, armed with water bottles and their own packed lunches.
During the walk they stopped at various locations and were treated to interesting facts and information about plants, birds and animals in the environment around them.
It was a great excursion for all learners and the parents who were involved, knowing much more about the environment.
Sad faces were the order of day when it was time to depart from the splendid hilltop and head back home.
