Venus conquers Mercury on the sports field
The spirit of the athletes from Venus could not be matched and they began to dominate the track events
ML Sultan Primary School held its 58th annual inter-house sports meeting recently and the competition was rife, with four ‘houses’ competing for the 2018 composite trophy.
Medals sponsored by KFC were awarded to the children who ‘placed’ in the races.
The battle royal was between Mercury and Venus ‘houses’.
Mercury built up a lead in the morning, but the spirit of the athletes from Venus could not be matched and they began to dominate the track events.
After a good fight, Venus emerged victorious, proudly holding aloft the trophy for the second consecutive year!
Well done to all the learners who participated and gave their all, no matter where they finished in the races. Not forgetting the fantastic support from the screaming spectators who urged the athletes on to new heights on the day.
