Rival schools do battle on the sports field
The boys and girls were up early, with the games beginning at 8am
There has always been rivalry when it comes to school sport, with young and talented players taking each other on.
A recent inter-schools encounter between Monument and Egerton Primary School was no different in this respect.
Sports teams from the two schools clashed on the rugby, hockey and netball fields last week.
The boys and girls were up early, with the games beginning promptly at 8am.
The rugby matches were a highlight, as the boys fought tooth and nail to get over the try line.
The hockey matches were also tightly contested, with goals coming left, right and centre.
The netball girls had a ball of a time shooting hoops to emerge victorious.
The day was enjoyed by one and all who attended, with a large number of parents coming to the ground to support their children and cheer them on from the sidelines.
