The four finalists in the hugely popular, nationwide ‘Slots Factor’ tournament have been selected following the thrilling semi-final competition at Blackrock Casino on September 14.

The semi-finals drew to an end after an eight-week long qualifying leg.

The finalists, who scored the highest in the semis, as well as their partners will be travelling to Johannesburg where they will be treated to a luxury stay at the Southern Sun Montecasino Hotel and participate in the grand finale on September 21.

“The final will take place at the vibrant Montecasino and the finalists’ stay is sponsored by Blackrock,” explained marketing manager, Veneshrie Chetty.

Among the finalists, she added, were Mrs N Ngcobo, Mr S Singh and Mr T Rampersadh.

“They will join the top 100 scoring participants from Tsogo Sun’s 14 casinos across the country to compete for the grand prize, which Tsogo Sun has just raised from R1-million to R1.1-million. There will be a guaranteed ultimate winner.”

Mrs Chetty explained that the top 10 scorers at the national finals would also get a share of a further R1.4-million, bringing the grand total of the ‘Slots Factor’ tournament to a staggering R2.5-million.

“Tsogo Sun decided to raise the stakes due to the overwhelming response to the tournament. This is our first ever national slots competition and we are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to host this tournament. We want to thank everyone who participated.”

Now that the finalists had been chosen, continued Mrs Chetty, the focus is on the finals, which promises to be an exciting and fun-filled event.

“Never before has such a high bounty been awarded in a single slots tournament. We congratulate our finalists and look forward to cheering them on at the grand finale. We hope that one of our won will walk away with the grand prize!”
