Preetam drops the bass
Despite chasing trophies with his bass dropping sound system and the adrenaline involved, Preetam explained that he took part mostly in charity sound competitions as a way to give back to the community.
Preetam Birbal is set to break sound barriers with the system in his Ford bakkie.
“I got involved with sound systems two years ago when I helped a friend out at his sound shop. Then I started putting sound in my bakkie.”
Describing his passion for loud sound systems as a hobby, Preetam said his brand of choice was Star Sound.
“I have found it to be a good brand, it is strong and good quality.”
With two 12 inch speakers, two amps and an extra battery, Preetam has secured a spot in every sound competition he has taken part in over the past two years.
“I have taken first prize, second and third prize in every sound competition that I have ever taken part in.”
Preetam said what motivated him in to take part in sound competitions, were the competitiveness, sportsmanship and seeing who was truly the loudest.
“I really enjoy the adrenaline that it offers.”
