The Chernobyl-centred series was a wild card reaping huge success, yet the dissolution of GSC Game World means this project is likely doomed.

Fallout Online

It seems we’ll never get a taste of a multiplayer online version of post-apocalyptic America, thanks to legal disputes between the franchise owner and developers.

Tekken x Street Fighter

Promotional posters for this game (five years in the waiting) revealed Jin Kazama and Ryu, shadowed by their demonic counterparts. Seems this one isn’t dead just yet.

The Last Guardian

Brains would intelligence in this puzzle-action third-person game, developed by the team behind Shadow of the Colossus. Sony has claimed development will continue, yet the departure of certain key members has cast a shadow.

Prey 2

The original Prey featured spiritual aspects of Native American life in a first-person package. The sequel would have focused on a new protagonist, linked to the first game’s plot. Sadly, the game has since been cancelled.

The Lord of the Rings: The White Council

Imagine a massive online world based on the Tolkien trilogy. I have and it’s truly heartbreaking to know this game was suspended indefinitely and other projects were pursued.

A stealth-based action game from the creators of the (in)famous Grand Theft Auto brand? We want it, and the registering of two trademarks in 2013 has given a glimmer of hope we might one day take on the role of a Cold War era spy.
