Golfers have a spring in their step
The club competition was played in the I.P.S. format

Thirty golfers enjoyed the bright sunshine and warm weather on Saturday at Dundee Country Club.
The club competition was played in the I.P.S. format only to see our green keeper, Joe Khumalo, coming out tops scoring 40 individual points.
There were three players who contested for the second position with Kallie Roets wining the count out followed by Henk Booysen in third place and Philip Ceronio finished in fourth place.
Philip also managed to card a 2 Club on the 12th hole, while both Joe Khumalo and Coenie Munro recorded their 2 club on the 16th hole. Richard Catlett was the fortunate winner of the Jackpot, scoring 11 jackpot points on the applicable four holes.
A belated congratulations goes out to Mandla Mthethwa who scored 40 individual points at Victoria C.C. in Pietermaritzburg two weeks ago to win the Men’s B division Regional Finals of the Sanlam Cancer Challenge. Mandla will now compete in the National Finals at Sun City in early October.
This coming Sunday sees the Men’s B2 league team competing against Kilbarchan at Vryheid Golf Club and they need a comfortable win to keep them in contention to win the league, with only one more game remaining after the weekend.
Club fixtures for this weekend are, Friday – 10 hole meat competition. And on Saturday is the Monthly Mug Medal competition for September.
